The series is titled “Sober Sex.” It takes place in Houston, Texas. It’s somewhat comical, but it’s mainly a Drama. Zell is the main character. She was in a toxic relationship with Michael for sixteen years. She finally ended the relationship when she was thirty-five. Now, at age thirty-six, she’s drinking on a daily basis and dating a lot. She’s also experiencing awkward and wild situations when it comes to dating multiple people (all kinds of fiascos and drama while dating). Zell has four close friends (Tiffany, Nicole, Jasmine, and Gabe). Tiffany, Nicole, Jasmine, and Gabe also find themselves in awkward and wild situations when it comes to dating (all kinds of fiascos and drama while dating).
The group gets together often and drinks a lot. The characters in the series drink a lot because they’re all dealing with issues. The group has been friends since childhood, and attended college together.

Tiffany Davis AFRICAN AMERICAN Mid to Late 30s. Tiffany is one of the group (Zell, Tiffany, Nicole, Jasmine, and Gabe). She’s outgoing, funny, fierce, bold, and she says just about anything that comes to her mind. She’s the fiercest and boldest of the group. She’s not afraid to tell you like it is. She doesn’t take much crap. She’s protective of the group. Tiffany dates, but she’s single. She enjoys having a good time. She loves to hang out with the group and kick it. She’s down to drink anywhere and anytime. She’s pretty tough, and she put herself through medical school. She’s an Infectious Disease doctor.
Nicole Vaughn ANY RACE Mid to Late 30s. Nicole is one of the group (Zell, Tiffany, Nicole, Jasmine, and Gabe). She’s attractive, bossy, and bold. She’s an entrepreneur. She owns a successful lipstick business. She loves to workout. She’s bisexual. She’s more into girls than guys, but she’ll occasionally sleep with a man. She loves sex. She dates, but she was in a long-term relationship with Monique (three years).
Jasmine Stevens ANY RACE Mid-Late 30s Jasmine is one of the group (Zell, Tiffany, Nicole, Jasmine, and Gabe). She’s a professional photographer and a skilled painter (she loves to paint). She was the whore of the group, but she changed her life. She goes to church. She’s a plain, boring person. She’s the epitome of reason. She’s always trying to keep the group on the right path. Everyone is sort of bored with her because she’s a Ms. Goody Two Shoes. She’s the last one to find out about something or catch onto something. She still hangs out with the group, but she only drinks with them occasionally. She’s in a relationship with Terrance. He encourages her to drink more because it helps loosen her up.
Gabe Phillips AFRICAN AMERICAN Mid-Late 30s. Gabe is one of the group (Zell, Tiffany, Nicole, Jasmine, and Gabe). He’s an outgoing, outspoken, and handsome. He hangs out with the group. He’s a beautician, and he owns a popular beauty shop. He loves to do hair because it’s something he’s very good at. He does men and women’s hair. He does the hair of the four women (the group). He does men weaves every Tuesday (for men who are going bald). He has a live-in girlfriend, Janet. Gabe dated Tiffany when they were in college, but they broke up during their sophomore year.
Michael Corbin AFRICAN AMERICAN Mid-Late 30s. Michael is cocky, arrogant, and self-centered. He’s an ex-NFL player (superstar wide receiver). Zell met Michael before college. They became a couple during their freshman year in college (they were eighteen). He cheated on her and lied the entire time they were together.
Monique Taylor ANY RACE 30s. Monique is attractive, not to smart, and she came from nothing. She doesn’t have a career. She hustles her way into relationships by using her looks (and flirting), then she freeloads off of them. She’s a social drinker. Nicole was in a long-term relationship with Monique (three years).
Janet Norris ANY RACE 30s. Janet is quiet and laid back. She’s Gabe’s live-in girlfriend and an accountant. She wants to get pregnant, but it’s very difficult for her to get pregnant. She’s a very sweet lady to him when people are around. In private she is emotionally unstable She’s a social drinker.
Terrance O’Neal ANY RACE 30s. Terrance is a metrosexual. He’s really clean cut. He’s a partner at a large law firm. He’s a criminal defense attorney. He hasn’t been married. He doesn’t have kids. He’s a church going man. He knows how to have a good time. He’s a social drinker. He’s in a relationship with Jasmine. He encourages her to drink because it helps loosen her up. He really likes her. They’ve been in a relationship for a few months, but it seems to be moving a little fast because they’re getting pretty serious (they’re talking marriage and kids). They don’t live together.
Kyle Peterson ANY RACE 30s. Kyle is handsome, fun, cool, easygoing, creative, and loving. He’s an entertainment attorney who transitioned into marketing/branding. He can still practice law. He drinks heavily because he’s dealing with the fact he was married to a man (he’s ashamed).
